Age of Entrance: 8 Year Olds

Students enrol in Puer Iesus College normally during Year 4, following the English school system. Academically challenged children can be admitted during Year 5 or Year 6 at which point they must have passed the entrance tests. Children joining in Year 5 or 6 will not sit public examinations until they are at least 14 years old and will therefore sit less GCSEs.
As the college is still new, we are making a temporary concession that students starting by September 2025 can join between the ages of 9 - 16.
From September 2026, no students will sit any GCSEs until they have undertaken at least 2 years of preparatory work at the college.

Next Steps
For September 2025 Entry:
Attend the Open Day on Saturday 12 October 2024, 10am. We require a family deposit of £250 by 31 December 2024 for new families, which will be deducted off your first term's fees or refunded if your children are not accepted. Please contact us for our bank details. We regret that for practical reasons, requests for September 2025 entry after this date may not be accepted.
Student Testing:
Testing for potential candidates of the college take place on Thursday 20 February and Friday 21 February 2025.
Places Awarded:
We will be in touch with parents in the later half of February 2025 to agree places.

Our annual open day for prospective parents takes place in East Sussex, near Tunbridge Wells. At this event you can meet the team, review resources, see student work of different ages, review curricula and ask any burning questions you might have.
